For 26 years, our rental home’s backyard lacked a special touch, but life had other plans.

After a significant change forced me to return to our rental home, now my new residence, I stumbled upon a breathtaking surprise. Beautiful Chinese Wisteria vines, the same ones I had paid to cultivate at our other home, were flourishing in my own backyard!

My family knew how much these plants meant to me – they were one of my top absolute favorites. So, it was even more remarkable to see them here, as if brought specifically for me.

Two years ago, the first time I saw them, our house was under renovation, transforming into my new home away from home – not by choice, but by circumstance. But as I gazed up at those stunning flowers, I felt a deep conviction that God was telling me everything would be okay. I truly believed it. What struck me was that my yard was the only one with these flowering vines.

This year, I was uncertain if they would return. Each morning, I’d search for the purple blooms, but they seemed nowhere to be found.

That was until I was mowing the lawn and spotted small budding flowers on a long vine! As I drew closer to the tree, I saw them more clearly and burst into tears of joy.

In that moment, I knew God had orchestrated it so I’d discover them while mowing. What you can’t see… it is still there.

Over the next few weeks, I watched the vine grow, stretching up to the top of the trees and branching out wherever it could grab onto. It even reached a nearby bush, allowing me to touch and smell the flowers. What a blessing!

After the blooms had faded, a new surprise awaited me.

This morning, I noticed the branches swaying very hard, despite the calm air. As I looked closer, I spotted a raccoon and her two babies nestled high in the tree! She had found a cozy spot to nurse them, and witnessing this tender moment filled me with joy.

This experience reminded me that even in darkness, God is always present in my heart. What I couldn’t see was always there, waiting to be discovered.

These photos were taken from my cellphone looking into the viewfinder of my camera.  I wanted to post this memory now and didn’t want to wait to get the actual photos from my camera. LOL
I took these photos of the raccoons and the Chinese Wisteria vine from the upstairs window.  The closeup of the Chinese Wisteria grew long enough where I could touch it.  It was so beautiful!  Last year this vine wrapped itself around the utility wiring. I wonder why it didn’t this year.
